Grace and mercy in the mea culpa version of the virtues unveiled.

GRACE AND MERCY

(Mea Culpa)

Grace is unmerited special favor bestowed upon man, by God and mercy is extending leniency or kindness to the offender.

Mercy is one of the virtues that emanates from Divine Love or Charity. Charity is the embodiment of four more virtues which are: Grace, Mercy, Clemency and Leniency. Grace is shown above extending her leniency toward Mercy.

This drawing was inspired by the belief that those who are sincerely remorseful about their vices yearn to be treated with leniency.
