DIVINE LOVE

(Charity)

Charity is the most beautiful of all virtues. It is generosity and unconditional love shown to those in need. Benevolence and the love of humanity.

Since she is the greatest of all virtues, Divine Love or Charity (Caritas) is seen riding on an eagle aloft the rest of the virtues in The Virtues Unveiled. She is shown comforting the weary Faith and affirming Hope with a gaze of meekness.

Faith, Hope, and Love, are the three virtues that were later on added to the initial four.
